HANDEL EGYPTIAN RUINS TABLE LAMP. Handel table lamp has reverse painted depiction of the ruins of Elephantine Island at Aswan in Southern Egypt. The ruins are in the foreground of the shade and encircled by palm trees and water, all set against a shaded blue sky. The exterior of the shade has chipped ice finish and the shade rests on an Oriental style Handel base with rich brown finish, three-light cluster, and heat cap with fleur-de-lis vents. The shade is signed “Handel 6004” and also artist signed “John Bailey”. Base is signed on the edge of foot near cord “Handel”. SIZE: Shade is 17-3/4″ dia. Lamp is 23″ t.
