STATE OF MAINE SHERATON DRESSING TABLE. Circa 1825. This nice painted pine stand with deck top fitted with two aligned drawers beneath a back splash with scrolled ears, the table raised on ring-turned swelled tapering legs with elongated stile feet centering a plain frieze. The whole in chrome yellow, stencil and free hand decorated with bronze powder, persimmon, and black decorated banding. The back splash decorated with oak leaf and acorn stenciling. Secondary wood is basswood. SIZE: Overall: 36-1/2″ h x 36″ w x 16-1/2″ d. Table: 28-1/2″ h. CONDITION: Very good with original dry painted surfaces showing only minor surface wear. 9-29149 (900-1,400)
