GEORGE III CARVED PINE SIDEBOARD. Second half 18th century, probably Scotland. The rectangular case fitted with a central long drawer flanked by short drawers, each carved with oval or clover leaf fan paterae over a pair of covered doors, flanked by recessed molded panels. The base with applied molding on molded supports. SIZE: 42″ h x 51″ x 19″ d. PROVENANCE: From a fine coastal Westerly, Rhode Island estate. CONDITION: Structurally very good, now with old medium-brown surfaces. Case with normal and expected old shrinkage cracks on sides, in need of cosmetic re-polishing. 9-28329 (800-1,200)
