ATTRIBUTED TO SIR JOHN EVERETT MILLAIS (British, 1829-1896) BASKING IN THE MOONLIGHT. Outstanding Pre-Raphaelite School large oil on canvas scene shows a partially nude young woman wearing a black sheer wrap. She has long, brown hair, her eyes are closed and her head is up. A colorful full moon is rising with poppy plants around her. Housed in a wonderful decorated gilt replacement frame. The back canvas having a London canvas stamp dated approximately to 1875-1885.
