ENAMEL AND GILT DECORATED GLASS JAR. Mid 18th century, probably German. The nice example decorated in the oriental taste depicting a pavilion, two seated figures in conversation, and a dragon boat, all in heavy white enamel paint, the pavilion with pseudo Chinese calligraphy. The background landscape in gold gilding. SIZE: 5-3/4″ h x 4-1/2″ dia. CONDITION: Generally very good, with normal and expected wear to decorated surfaces. And with extensive light scratching or wear on base. 7-73456 (300-500)
