EARLY AMERICAN MAPLE AND PINE CHEST OF DRAWERS. 18th century, probably Massachusetts. The rectangular top with applied molded edge now with burl chestnut veneer panels within mahogany crossbanding above the conforming maple case fitted with two aligned pine short drawers over three long graduated drawers, each with inlaid burl panels and with mahogany and rosewood crossbanding on a molded base raised on figural mahogany veneered bracket feet with shaped returns. SIZE: 34-1/2″ h x 34-3/4″ w x 19″ d. CONDITION: Restored, repolished, and reveneered. 9-29641 (2,500-3,500)
