ANTIQUE BACCARAT PAPERWEIGHT CHALICE. Exceptional antique chalice consists of four panels of loosely packed millefiori canes with a white spiral latticino connector and loosely packed millefiori canes on foot. There is cut flutes on the foot and the stem with an applied gold gilding around base of foot, rim and edge of panels. Chalice comes with velvet lined presentation case. SIZE: 6-3/4″ t. PROVENANCE: Applewhaite-Abbott Collection which sold at Sotheby’s, Oct. 21, 1952, then the Hida Takayama Museum of Art sale at Sotheby’s Dec. 19, 2002 to the Barry Schultheiss Collection. CONDITION: Very good to excellent with some wear to gold gilt. 5-63449 (8,000-12,000)
