OTTO MUHLENFELD (American, 1871-1907) PORTRAIT OF A TWO-MASTED SCHOONER. Oil on canvas laid on board shows a white hulled two masted schooner sailing right to left with five men on deck. Full sails and the American flag flying off the back. A steam sailer can be seen on right side. White tipped blue sea under blue and white cloud sky. Signed bottom right “MUHLENFELD BALTO. 1900″. Housed in a modern gilt wood frame. SIZE: Sight size: 24-1/2″ x 39-1/2”. CONDITION: Some inpainting, restoration and craquelure. Fair to good. 9-20337 (5,000-8,000)
