AMERICAN MOLDED COPPER HORSE AND SULKY WEATHERVANE. Late 19th century, New England. With nice verdigris surface. Rendered with copper head, mane and tail showing nice details. The rider holding wire reins with cast zinc head. Now offered on a museum stand. SIZE: 18-1/2″h x 34-1/2″l. CONDITION: Remains structurally good with minor corrosion to ears and to rider with deterioration to attachments at rod in area of proper rear right hoof and proper left foreleg. Some slight separation to seam at hind quarters. Support bar for rear wheels needs re-attaching at mid point. 9-24127 (3,500-4,500)
