HANDEL REVERSE PAINTED TABLE LAMP. Reverse painted shade has a black velvet background and is decorated with two pairs of colorful stylized exotic birds in hues of purple, magenta, yellow and orange set amongst stylized floral pattern. A crystalized lime color accentuates the floral motif which shows up beautifully when lit. Shade is fitted with a polychrome ring. Shade is supported by a base that has a simulated teak wood bronzed bottom and is of dropped baluster form. Base has a gun metal type finish and is complete with three sockets, top cap and finial. Shade is signed “Handel 7026” and artist signed “Broggi”. Base is marked on the underside “Handel”. SIZE: Shade is 18″ dia. Lamp is 23″ t. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. 5-64613 (10,000-15,000)
