FINE GRANDFATHER CLOCK BY S. HOADLEY. The dial painted with blue and white urn with green and red decoration at corners. The large painted dial has two smaller dials, one in minutes and the other in days. The outstanding case has glass waist door and cutout base. Hood with turned posts and fretwork top that has fourteen pierced cutout stars. Three turned wood finials. The case has fabulous all over alligatored varnish finish. Two brass weights and pendulum are present. Wooden works with bell strike. SIZE: 91” to top of finial x 19” at widest x 12” at deepest. CONDITION: Very good, as noted above. 9-26031 (2,000-4,000)
