EMILE ALBERT GRUPPE (American, 1896-1978) “GLOUCESTER HARBOR IN EVENING LIGHT”. Outstanding oil on canvas Gloucester, Massachusetts scene shows several boats in a harbor with docks and low hills lined with houses. Pink reflected sunset on the edges of white clouds and blue sky. Signed lower right. Housed in a fine modern arts & crafts style carved gilt frame. Titled on back of stretcher and also on front artist plaque.
