HANDEL REVERSE & OBVERSE PAINTED TABLE LAMP. Arts & Crafts style shade is obverse painted with large green tobacco leaves with buds at the top emanating from the shade ring. The shade is further decorated with a yellow border, interior of shade is painted yellow. Shade is supported by a bulbous base having tobacco leaves and buds in high relief. Base is fitted with a kerosene font, collar and chimney as well as being complete with original Handel electrification ring, three sockets and three acorn pulls. Base carries a desirable patina finish. Shade is signed “US Patents No. 979664 Handel #5354”. Base is impressed on the underside “Handel”. SIZE: Shade is 16″ dia. Lamp is 24″ to top of chimney. CONDITION: Shade is very good to excellent. Base electrification does not harm the base. 5-64434 (3,000-5,000)
