CHRISTOPHER BLOSSOM (American, 1956-) THE OPEN SEA. Oil on canvas nautical scene shows two-mast sailing vessel sailing away from viewer in rough seas under lightening skies. Four men aboard and a large spray hits the bow. Housed in a wonderful weathered wood frame with gilt trim and linen liner. Signed lower right “Christopher Blossom A.S.M.A. 1981″. SIZE: 20″ x 27”. PROVENANCE: Estate of Henry A. Rudkin Jr, (family of the founders of Pepperidge Farm). CONDITION: Very good to excellent. 9-98936 (6,000-9,000)
