DAUM & EDGAR BRANDT LAMP. Unusual Daum lamp has Art Deco helmet shaped shade with acid textured frosted surface. Shade is signed on the edge of the shade “Daum Nancy France” with cross of Lorraine. Shade rests on a wonderful wrought iron base with swirled wire work and ribbed beads. Base is unsigned, but we attribute it to Edgar Brandt. Spider that supports the shade and the foot of the base appear to be additions to the Edgar Brandt work. SIZE: Shade is 17″ dia. Lamp is 43″ t. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. Rewired with modern socket. 5-64232 (3,000-4,000)
