CS 20-POUNDER READ-PARROTT SHELL. Excavated. Fired. Has a Confederate copper time-fuse adapter with a wrought iron sabot. Read patented the sabot and this was intended to be fired from a 20-pounder Parrott rifle. The base of the shell has a distinct lathe dimple.
