NEW ENGLAND QUEEN ANNE CURLY MAPLE HIGHBOY, PROBABLY NEW HAMPSHIRE. Second half 18th century. In two parts, the upper dovetailed case with molded cornice and three short thumbmolded drawers over four long graduated drawers, fitted to the waist-molded case of a long drawer over three aligned short drawers, the centermost fan-carved, above the scalloped and arcaded apron, raised on angular cabriole legs with shaped returns, terminating in platform pad feet. SIZE: 75-1/4″ h. x 36″ case w./40-1/2″ overall w. x 22″ overall d. CONDITION: Beautifully and professionally repolished, accentuating bold graining. The case completely original, with no restorations noted, the brass hardware replaced and in original holes. Good backboards with rosehead nails. 9-93665 (8,000-12,000)
