REMINGTON 61 (OLD MODEL) NAVY PERCUSSION REVOLVER. Cal. 36 Perc. SN 15210. Blued finish, 7-3/8” oct bbl with two line markings, dovetail cone front sight, brass trigger-guard, 2-pc smooth walnut grips with a “CGC” cartouche. Very early production model. “ELLIOT’S PATENT” marking is sometimes found on the loading lever. Inspected by Charles G. Curtis, Army sub-inspector. Used extensively by the Union Cavalry during the Civil War. Circa 1862. CONDITION: Good. All metal surfaces have an enhanced patina. Grips have been varnished over light dents & wear. Bore is fair.
