FINE FULL BODIED VERDIGRIS COPPER GAME COCK WEATHERVANE. Late 19th century. This fine plump example with sheet metal comb, wattle, neck feathers, and tail. The hollow head applied with sheet metal neck feathers, the open beak also hollow the wings well delineated. The weathervane is mounted on a hollow copper cylindrical pole. Sold with copper directionals. SIZE: Overall h. 49″ Weathervane 16″ x 23-1/2″. CONDITION: Overall very good condition with original verdigris surfaces. The sheet copper west directional has broken off but is still present. Crimps and other creases evident in other directionals. 9-20423 (8,000-12,000)
