LARGE PAIR OF CLASSICAL BRASS FACETED ANDIRONS WITH MATCHING TOOLS. First half 19th century, probably Connecticut. The turned standard with beehive faceted finial raised on scrolled legs centering a drop finial terminating in four half-ball feet, each with double log stops. The matching tools, tongs and shovel, with conforming finials. SIZE: Andirons Height: 21-1/4″. Overall length: 23-1/2″. Shovel: 38″ l. Tongs: 36″ l. CONDITION: Very good with burnished surfaces, dogs original. 9-29055 (500-800)
