WONDERFUL 19TH CENTURY SCHOOL GIRL PAINT DECORATED SEWING BOX. The lid painted with an exquisite detailed early 19th Century image of a stately columned stone mansion framed by tall trees with fence in front and prominent brick posts and on the street before the mansion are three cows. All within a painted mustard yellow border. All four sides of the box are decorated with mustard, green, red and black striping. Interior with lined early marbled paper. SIZE: 4″ h x 12″ w x 9″ d. CONDITION: Scattered small nicks to paint, structurally very good. In original untouched condition. 8-87560 (1,500-2,500)
