STATE OF MAINE GRAIN & PAINT-DECORATED 2-DRAWER BLANKET CHEST. Mid-19th century. This fine rectangular example with strong original graining, the hinged lid fitted to the conforming rectangular case of two long drawers. The front with arched and shaped apron, the side panels with accentuated arched cutout. SIZE: 44-3/4″ h. x 36-3/4″ w. x 16-1/4″ d. CONDITION: Very good overall, with an additional set of metal hinges. Backboards and pulls are original. Painted surfaces with normal and acceptable wear, surfaces somewhat dry. 9-99049 (2,000-4,000)
