OUTSTANDING REPOUSSE WORKED LOVING CUP BY GEORGE WHEATLEY, DUBLIN, IRELAND. Dated “1796”. S & C-scroll handles, attached to a cup with 2-1/2″ band. One side decorated with house, fence, and woods; the other side with a C-scrolled cartouche with an armorial crest of lion head with arrow. The cartouche surrounded by C-scrolls and roses.The cup tapering to a round base. WEIGHT: 14 tr. oz. SIZE: 6-1/4″ h. CONDITION: Some minor dents, generally very good. 9-24733 (1,000-1,500)
