PAIRPOINT FROLICKING CHERUB TABLE LAMP. Springfield shade is reverse and obverse painted and decorated with a rare matching base with each depicting frolicking cherubs. Lamp has a Victorian appeal with soft blue and cream accents with the cherubs being framed by medallions of ribbons and garland in off white. Lamp is listed in the book Pairpoint Lamps: A Collector’s Guide by Louis O. St. Aubin Jr, page 28 fig. 70 and is listed as rare. This is the only time we have ever seen this lamp complete. Base is fitted with original brass hardware and two sockets. Shade is marked “The Pairpoint Corp”. Base is marked “Pairpoint”, “P” in a diamond, “Made in the USA” and is numbered. SIZE: Shade is 16″ dia. Lamp is 20-1/2″ t. CONDITION: Very good with chips and a “v” hairline at the rim of the shade. Base has wear to brass fittings, two replaced sockets and minor loss to enamel decoration. 5-64089 (1,500-2,000)
