GEORGE III PINE DAIRY TABLE. Last quarter, 18th century. Ireland. The heavy three-plank top with bread board ends, all of pegged construction. Fitted to the conforming base, the frieze with a pair of cutlery drawers centering a bank of two small drawers. Above a scalloped and shaped apron, the ends with arched edges raised on blocked, ring-turned, tapering cylindrical legs. SIZE: 33″ h x 71″ l x 33-1/2″ w. PROVENANCE: From Fortnum & Mason, Piccadilly Square, London, England. Used in their Christmas displays from 1978-1980. CONDITION: The scrubbed and polished top with sun-bleached color and nice wear. The base structurally very good, hardware probably replaced. Very good overall. 9-24073 (1,500-2,500)
