FINE AMERICAN CARVED EAGLE WALL PLAQUE. Late 19th/Early 20th Century. Carved in the manner of John Haley Bellamy, depicting a displayed eagle with American shield in talons, above crossed draped flags and cannons. Carved from pine with natural finish. SIZE: 9″ x 19-3/4″. CONDITION: Proper left wingtip with chip. Small loss to flag standard tip. Recarved segment bottom of proper right wing, recarved tip of eagle’s beak. Proper left flag standard with repaired splits. Presents well, with nice color and patina. 9-93228 (6,000-10,000)
