TWO MAHOGANY SHELF CLOCKS. 19th century. The first in a bracket clock style figured case.The dome molded top fitted with brass carrying handle above the enamel dial with glass door with bezel on a molded plinth raised on cast brass ogee feet. The second rectangular case with enameled tin dial, above an eglomise tablet decorated with floral vinery on a molded plinth. SIZE: 1) 10″ h. 2) 11-1/2″. PROVENANCE: From the private collection and estate of Robert Nugent, Glenridge, New Jersey. CONDITION: The first in very good condition with original polished surfaces. The second with old dry surfaces and with original eglomise panel and dial. Movements not inspected. 9-28264 (150-250)
