HANDEL OBVERSE PAINTED PERSIAN BORDER LAMP. Shade begins with subdued yellow upper section and is decorated in a Persian border design with fleur de lis and art nouveau flowers in colors of black, mauve, blue and brown. Highlighting this border is a very unusual technique where the center of each flower is cut back to the white cased glass interior. The shade is supported by a baluster form base on a tiered, round pedestal foot. The base has a desirable brown patina finish with salmon accenting the decoration. The base is completed with three sockets, pull chains, top cap, and finial. The shade is signed “Handel 6525” and the base is signed “Handel” on the bottom. SIZE: Lamp 18″ t. Shade 2″ diameter.
