GALLE WHEEL CARVED CREAMER. Exceptional Galle creamer is internally decorated with swirls of brick red glass against a sandy-gray background. The entire creamer is wheel carved with a seashell and aquatic plants having light martele in the background. Creamer is finished with an applied red glass handle which is also completely wheel carved. Signed below the spout with engraved “Galle”. A similar example is pictured in the book Emile Galle: Collection of the Museum Ecole de Nancy, pg. 114, item #157. The book lists the creamer as circa 1889. SIZE: 2-1/4″ t x 5-1/4″ l.
