NEW ENGLAND PINE & BIRCH STEPBACK CUPBOARD IN RED PAINT. 3rd quarter 19th century. The rectangular case fitted with a pair of cupboard doors beneath a molded cornice opening to two fixed shelves, set back above a pair of lower cupboard doors opening to an interior of a single fixed shelf. All in a deep red wash. SIZE: 73″ h. x 38-1/4″ w. x 17-1/4″ d. CONDITION: Cupboard retains original red, with original hinges and latches. Cutout feet intact, proper left upper cupboard door with old restoration. Normal wear to painted and stained surfaces throughout. 9-99062 (1,500-3,500)
