GALLE CARVED & ENAMELED PITCHER. Beautiful early Galle pitcher has carved floral design encircling the body and neck. The pitcher is further decorated with heavily enameled lilies and stems all set against the amber colored glass background with gold foil inclusions. The uncarved foot and rim are decorated with enameled and gilt flowers, stems and leaves. Pitcher is finished with an applied free-form and twisted amber glass handle having gold foil inclusions. Signed on the underside in the polished pontil within a lily outline “Emile Galle” and what appears to be “fecil”. There is also a partial remnant of an original paper label. SIZE: 9-3/4″ t.
