EMILE ALBERT GRUPPE (AMERICAN, 1896-1978) “BIRCHES ALONG THE STREAM”. Oil on canvas late autumn scene shows a wide stream with rock and grass banks with a scattering of birch trees along its edge. The stream leads to an opening in the woods leading to low hills under light skies. Signed lower right. Housed in what appears to be its original blue-gray painted wood frame with white wood lining.
