PAIR OF STERLING GEORGE IV COVERED SAUCE DISHES. London, 1820/21 having a maker’s mark in a clover leaf with “IC” over “WR” on base, (William Reid and Joseph Craddock). The two handled dishes having oval bodies, four scrolled feet with leaf design, top rim flattened, decorated with scalloped shells and flower heads. Fully hallmarked bases. Matching hallmarked lids in a stepped dome design with intersecting snake scrolled handles. SIZE: 6″ h x 8″ l x 5″ d. WEIGHT: 62 tr. oz. PROVENANCE: From a fine Augusta, Maine estate.
