HAND EMBROIDERED AMERICAN EAGLE IN THE PATTERN OF THE PRESIDENTIAL SEAL. An extremely fine example of needlework of the late 19th century of the American Presidential eagle, “E. PLURIBUS UNUM” below the wreath of thirteen stars above the eagle’s head, patriotically mounted on a blue field with red and white matting in a gilded frame. Circa 1890. Contemporary matting and framing. SIGHT SIZE: 21″ x 21″. CONDITION: Very good to near excellent with two very minor 1/4″ spot. 1-27515 (800-1,200)
