Standard carbine with 20-1/2″ tapered rnd bbl, pinched blade front sight and 2-position flip rear sight graduated to 500 yards. These military rifles & carbines were produced in extremely large quantities in the period 1867-1888 and sold literally around the world as well as to the American military. Bbl band retains about 95% high polish blue. Receiver, top & bottom tangs, trigger guard & buttplate retain about all of their strong, bright orig case colors, brilliant in sheltered areas. Breech block & hammer retain about all of their bright factory blue. Wood is sound with a very few, very minor handling & storage nicks & scratches and retains virtually all of its orig factory oil finish. Mechanics are crisp, brilliant shiny bore, probably unfired. 4-36933 JR221 (4,000-7,000)
