UNUSUAL PAIR OF ART-DECO ANTELOPE-FORM ANDIRONS AND TOOLS. Each andiron depicting a full-bodied antelope standing erect, mounted on stepped and scrolled cast-iron base. Cast iron tool holder holding a shovel and tongs, each having a scrolled decorative end. SIZE: 25″ h. x 20-1/2″ overall l. Tool holder is 31-1/2 h. PROVENANCE: Richard Paine Estate, Seal Cove, ME. CONDITION: Very good overall, structurally intact, retaining old surface. Tools have light rust coating, otherwise very good. 9-92542 (2,000-3,000)
