SAILOR’S VALENTINE. Mid 19th century. This fine double sailor’s valentine comprised of rows of limpets, various seed shells and assorted bivalves. One side is written “FORGET ME NOT” of dark seed shells. Opposing side with shell picture of rose above heart. Both mounted in a hinged, octagonal case. SIZE: Overall 2-3/4″ h x 9″ l x 8-3/4 w.
