HANDEL PEACOCK OVERLAY TABLE LAMP. Representing the epitome of the Art Nouveau era, this metal overlay and green enameled design depicts peacock feathers against a bent slag panel ground. This pattern is continued in the large apron of the shade. Supporting the shade is a three socket base that continues the peacock feather decoration on its open work stem and circular foot. The base is finished with three acorn pulls, a pierced top cap and finial. The entire lamp carries a desirable chocolate brown patina finish. This is a superb example of this unique design. Shade is signed “Handel” to interior tag as well as in the ring. Base is signed “Handel” to underside. SIZE: Shade is 20″ dia. Lamp is 24″ t. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. 5-61462 (4,000-6,000)
