OUTSTANDING WATERCOLOR 19TH CENTURY SCENIC THEOREM. Circa 1830-1850, probably Ohio. Watercolor shows a group of fruit set on a marble slab overlooking a river and homestead landscape, hills in the distance, and a vine covered column on the right side. Housed in a fine antique gilt ripple decorated frame with matte. The lot is accompanied by a mid-19th century photograph of a well-dressed couple, the reverse marked in script “WRIBLA SWINGBY 1853″, said to be the painter. SIZE: Sight: 8-1/2″ x 11-1/2″. Overall: 13-1/2″ x 16-1/2”. CONDITION: Very good, very minor foxing. Frame with light abrasion. 9-29177 (700-1,000)
