RED PAINTED SUGAR BOWL. First quarter 19th century, probably Pennsylvania. This rare poplar example of a ring-turned urn on a stepped pedestal base. The conforming lid with turned ball or mushroom knop finial. SIZE: 7″ h. CONDITION: Very good untouched surfaces. Retaining original dry red paint. No cracks or chips. 9-28502 (800-1,200)
