FOUR GALLE FAIENCE PLATES. Each of the plates has openwork on the rim and all are decorated with blue patterns against a white background. Two of the plates feature castle scenes, while the other two feature a Coat of Arms. Three of the plates are signed “Galle Nancy” as well as “Clement”; one plate is only signed “S. Clement”. SIZE: One is 9″ dia. Remaining are 8-1/2″ dia. PROVENANCE: From the Private Collection of Dorothy Lee Jones. CONDITION: One castle plate and one Coat of Arms plate have tight hairlines. The other castle plate is very good to excellent, while the other Coat of Arms plate has some minor glaze loss on the edge. 5-61822 (200-400)
