*FINE STANDARD GRADE WINCHESTER HI-WALL SINGLE SHOT RIFLE. SN 100709. Cal. 30 US (30-40). Wonderful standard grade rifle with 30″ No. 3 weight rnd bbl with Redfield globe front sight, slot blank in rear seat and a scarce windgage locking Lyman tang sight. Mounted with uncheckered, straight grain American walnut with black insert schnable tip forearm and straight stock with crescent steel buttplate. PROVENANCE: Bruce M. Cady Estate Collection. CONDITION: Very fine to extremely fine. Bbl retains 97-98% glossy orig blue with slight muzzle edge wear and a thin spot from a rear sight and elevator. Receiver has some minor flaking on each side and top front edge. Breech block, lever & hammer retain most of their orig case colors turning dark and fading to silver on lower outer face of lever. Buttplate retains smoky case colors. Wood is sound with a few light handling & use marks and retains most of its orig factory varnish.
