JANE PETERSON (American, 1876-1965) SHADES OF MARIGOLD. Oil on canvas still life scene shows a two-handled brass pot holding gold and yellow marigolds. A covered Oriental rice bowl is beside. Signed lower right. Housed in its original carved and partially gilt wood frame. Back having a “National Association of Women Painters and Sculptors, 1923 33rd Annual Exhibition” label. Also a partial exhibition label which may be from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art. SIZE: 24-3/4″ x 20″. CONDITION: A patch to top right with corresponding repair and inpainting.
