EARLY GALLE FRENCH CAMEO VASE.

EARLY GALLE FRENCH CAMEO VASE. Exceptional wisteria decoration is done in a highly unusual combination of peach and cream coloration set against a clear hand cut background. Vase was done in two cuttings; the first peach cut to cream and the second is cream cut to clear. Vase is finished with a magnificent “Galle” cameo signature with highly stylized letters. This is most likely an early piece when Galle was transitioning from enameled decoration on clear backgrounds to traditional opaque cameo glass. SIZE: 11″ t. Auction: Lamp & Glass - Spring 2013
