FINE FULL BODY COPPER LEAPING STAG WEATHERVANE WITH DIRECTIONALS. Last quarter, 19th century, New England. Rendered with zinc head and antlers, this nice example with verdigris surface in untouched condition. The directionals with brass compass points, joined to cast-iron arrow arms, the copper ball above directionals. Weathervane additionally with museum stand. SIZE: (stag)26-3/4″h x 29″l; (directionals, overall) 48-1/2″h. CONDITION: Directionals very good original condition. The stag untouched with minor deterioration at seams, verdigris surface is very good. Slight indentation at proper right rear haunch. Very good overall. 9-24703 (6,000-8,000)
