BODGE (American, 20th Century) TWO BIRD HUNTING SCENES. Both identically housed in gilt frames with gray and ivory matte. 1) Gouache hunting scene shows a man shooting a partridge in flight while four fly away. Tall, dried grass area in a fall scene under gray clouds. Signed lower right “Bodge”. 2) Gouache scene shows a hunter walking along ocean beach area holding his pump shotgun and carrying a line of duck decoys. He smokes a pipe and looks out to the coastline edge where ducks are taking off and flying into a setting sunset. Signed lower right “Bodge”. SIZE: Sight: 16-1/2″ x 12-1/2″. PROVENANCE: From a private New York Collection. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. 9-22461 (2,500-3,500)
