REGENCY MAHOGANY PAINT-DECORATED PEMBROKE TABLE. Late 18th, early 19th century, England. The rectangular top with bowed ends molded edges and hinged demilune leaves above the rectangular frieze fitted with single drawer raised on square tapered legs terminating in brass-capped casters. The top decorated with a river landscape depicting a woman and young child fishing within a ribbon-tied border of floral garland. The leaves, each decorated with a floral spray. The top with a blue band decorated with scrolling vinery. The drawer painted with floral sprays opposing floral garlands with ribbon-tied swags. The legs painted with foliate pendant garlands. SIZE: 27″ h x 28″ d. Closed: 18-1/2″ w. Open: 34″ w. CONDITION: Surfaces remain original with overall craquelure, normal and expected abrasions and wear commensurate with age, some loss to top at are of hinge proper left front corner.
