EARLY F.G. BEBE DOLL ON LEATHER BODY. Circa 1880, closed mouth bisque head incised “F 3/0 G.” on a separate bisque shoulder plate on an all leather body with gussets at the elbows, hips and knees with perfect bisque forearms. She has lovely pale blue paperweight eyes, closed mouth pronounced molded tongue tip, pierced ears, dressed in a white cotton print dress with blue trim, antique underwear and newer black oil cloth shoes. She wears what could be her original dark blond mohair wig with tiny upswept curls in the back and an antique wide brim straw bonnet with cloth flowers. SIZE: 14-1/2″ (37cm). CONDITION: Excellent with slight discoloring in places to the leather body with minor sawdust leakage. 1-8146 RS (2,500-3,500)
