MARVEL WYNN (American, 1915-2002) “THE ACOLYTE”. Acrylic on canvas portrait of a young girl (Robin) in white church robe with red collar and sleeve against a gold background with multicolored cross. Signed lower right “Marvel Wynn”. Housed in a gilt wood frame. Titled and signed on reverse and dated “1986”. The back having an attached Gleason Fine Art Boothbay Harbor, Maine label. Marvel Wynn began seriously studying art at the Margaret Morrison School at Carnegie Tech (now Carnegie Mellon) in Pittsburgh. She later studied at the Cleveland Art Institute. SIZE: 36″ x 24″.
