NEW ENGLAND FEDERAL MAHOGANY INLAID BOWFRONT CHEST OF DRAWERS. First quarter 19th century. The rectangular top with bowfront, the edges string inlaid and crossbanded, the case fitted with four graduated long drawers, string inlaid and with cockbeaded edges, with oval eagle brasses. Raised on shaped French feet centering a crossbanded shaped apron. SIZE: 32″ h x 39-1/2″ w x 19-1/2″ d. PROVENANCE: From the private collection and estate of Robert Nugent, Glenridge, New Jersey. CONDITION: Feet, backboards, and brass hardware original. Professionally re-polished, very good overall. 9-28211 (2,000-3,000)
